Welcome to the Bettie D. Gonzalez Foundation of Hope
The Foundation was established and named in honor of our beloved mother. She was the     personification of love with a servant heart. For many years, she fought a rare form of cancer with courage and dignity. At the age of 38, she lost her battle, leaving six children (Michele, Suzy, Ken, Beth, Cheryl & Andrea) motherless, ages 7-16. Although we only had our mother for a short time, she taught us well. Her loving and compassionate spirit lives on in each of us. Our hope is that this foundation creates a legacy that would make her proud.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Are You a Motherless Daughter?
We are here to serve you! We know what it is like to be motherless. The loneliness, sadness, and grief are all a part of our stories too, but we are here to say, “There is hope and a future for you.”

I would like to be a Mentor

Thank you for your interest in being a mentor to a motherless daughter. A mentor is a caring and committed adult friend in a young girl’s life. By spending a few hours a week sharing   activities, listening, encouraging, challenging and enriching a motherless daughter’s life,    mentors can help young women set goals and achieve academic and personal success.

If you would like to be a Mentor or Volunteer,

please fill out this form:

Volunteer Application form 2017

I would like to be Mentored

It is very common for motherless daughters to feel lonely, to grieve, to be sad or feel like no one understands. There are many profound     effects of the loss of a mother on a girl’s             identity, her personality, her family, and her life choices. We understand because we have been there. Our goal is to mentor with wisdom, love, and empowerment so that every          motherless daughter will know she is a woman of value and that she can reach her dream.

Our mentors are background checked and interviewed.

If you would like to be mentored please fill out our confidential enrollment form below and email to Michele@BDGhope.org.
